Hello Fans and Freinds!
Thank you all for following. My hope was to have a huge stocking up on August 1st, but I ran into a few issues with labeling and the slow healing of my broken foot. This means that I will be adding items for sale more slowly, at least for the first month. I still hope to open the "storefront" pictures tab on the facebook page as soon as I can, so thank you in advance for understanding!
I have entered the 9 comments into Random.org for the giveaway, and the winner is....
The first comment was made by Kristina Shindel Pasma, who has three little ones who love story time! Congratulations, Kristina!!! Please contact me with your mailing address at fluffygreenearth at gmail dot com within 48 hours to claim your prize! I will mail it out as soon as I receive your address and hope you little one enjoys it! I am thankful to all who follow, and hope that you enjoy the items that will be up for sale in the storefront shortly!

300 Fan Giveaway!
Hello Friends and Fans!
I've been working hard to get as many products together for my first stocking as I can. Unfortunately, I am awaiting labels, so sewing is on hold for a bit. Please be sure to check out the Bouncing Woolies giveaway (friend them on Facebook to find out where to go) that's currently going on. There are 17 awesome prize packages to be won, a few that include products from Fluffy Green Earth! Also, SAPsMaMa will be holding a Blogtastic Extravaganza soon with a luxury lady's package and a potty training package-including wipes from Fluffy Green Earth! Find them on Facebook and tell them we sent you! I did promise a giveaway, so here it is for this week!
While dabbling in my material, I thought it might be fun to make a child's library bag. My kids always love to choose a few books and want to carry them home themselves, in their own little bag. So, I made this bag-11" deep by 13" across with a flannel exterior and fleece interior. It is completely machine washer and dryer safe, just in case it gets a little dirty or your child wants to use it for something else! It is the first one I've made, so I'd love to hear from the winner a little ways down the road to hear how it has held up to toddler use...we all know that is hard to replicate! Our little ones love their objects dearly and they need to be sturdy to handle all that love!
How do you enter to win? Follow these simple guidelines...

100 Facebook Fan Giveaway Winner!
First, I would like to say that I am very excited to welcome all the new fans of Fluffy Green Earth! There have been many questions about products and pricing and I am doing my best to address them at this point. My goal is to open an album in the photos section of the facebook page by August 1st. This will be my first "stocking." Each image will show an item or package for sale and the price, as well as the shipping cost. To purchase, one would simply comment on the photo of the item(s) that they would like to buy. I will then ask for e-mail contact information, so that I can send you an invoice through Paypal. I think it is plausible to ask for payment within 48 hours. Once paid, the item will be shipped to you (I am still determining my shipping frequency, as it is difficult right now, not being able to drive)! If more than one comment is made, the item will be offered to the first customer. If payment is not made or the customer changes their mind before payment is rendered, then the item will be offered to the next in line.
I should note, that part of the value to Fluffy Green Earth products is their uniqueness. I really value items that are not mass produced and hope that my customers do, as well. Therefore, I do not "stock" large yardages of fabric or multiples of the same item/pattern. I hope to offer "custom" slots, perhaps one job per week, where the customer can work with me to choose a specific item, size, material, etc. This way, if you miss out on an item you like, you can work with me to create an item that you may love!
All that being said, I think it about time to announce the 100 Fan giveaway winner. According to Random.org, the winner is....

100 Fan Giveaway!
First, I would like to welcome all our new friends! I have been working like a madwoman to make items to stock the storefront with at the end of the month. It's amazing how something as simple as using the opposite foot to sew can impact the quality of my work. I'm focusing on making my lines straight again, and I'm almost there! I was put in a hard cast earlier this week, and we're hoping for some healing action in the next two weeks. For now, let's celebrate reaching 100 Facebook fans with a very simple giveaway....
Starting from the date and time of this post until Tuesday, July 12th at 8pm EST, you may enter to win the the fluffy friend blankie above (or a boy version, pattern of my choosing). Fluffy Friend blankets are approximately 20-24" square with a flannel top and minky back. They have a loop of fabric sew in to attach a "friend." Blankets come with a free link, you supply the friend, pacifier, etc. These are a great size for toddlers on the go, and the perfect size to cover an infant in a car seat (you can even attach the link to the carry bar of the seat, so you never drop your blanket on the floor again)!.
Update: The Boy blanket is finished! If you win and have chosen the boy fluffy friend blankie, here's what you'll be receiving- Flannel Train front with a red minky back and red link toy loop (approx. 24" x 24")!

This Week's Giveaway!
Fist, I apologize for missing last week's giveaway. We went to a wedding, where my foot was steeped on and was broken. Much of the past week has been spent trying to reorganize our home and looking for help with ds and dd, so that my husband can go back to work. We have had many friends step forward and we are grateful for that blessing!
Fluffy Green Earth should be able to start selling online shortly! We are awaiting 2 more forms to complete and the DBA is approved and in the mail to us! Due to my long absence, I decided to have this week's giveaway be a slightly larger item from my repertoire....so here it is!
This is a very fun and fluffy rainbow tutu! It's color placement is quite whimsical, including purple, yellow, blue, pink and white. It is a no sew, ribbon wrapped tutu. The waist is approximately 22" and the length 11". This seems to fit sizes 4T-6, depending on the build of your child. It's nice for the tutu to be slightly bigger, especially if your little girl is going to be wearing it over regular clothes for dress up or play. The larger size also makes it easy to put on. If the waist is way too large once on, you can take two of the decorative ribbons and tie them together to make a smaller waist, for play and dress-up purposes.

I plan on having tutus in the store when it opens online. This is the largest one I have made, mostly because I got a little carried away with how fun it was! The lucky winner will also receive a matching tutu hair barrette in their package when it arrives!

Finally-This week's winner !!!
I apologize for all the last minute confusion. Blogspot was down last evening and this morning. Two women who posted comments, somehow had them deleted. The actual number of posts, as of 8pm EST was 7. Everyone was given a number in the order in which they posted-the first post being #1. Random.org has made the call...
That makes our third post, Candy Echavez, this weeks winner!!! Candy, please email me within 48 hours at fluffygreenearth at gmail dot com with your address, so that I can send over these beautiful and fun hair flower barrettes!
To answer my own question, I wear a flower clip in my hair often. I obviously like them, but I also notice how many compliments I get from people. What could be better than allowing something so small to help cheer up those you encounter each day? My daughter almost always has a flower clip of some sort in her hair. She usualyl won't leave the house without one!
I thank you all for bearing with me as I wait for the clearance of my licenses. There will surely be another giveaway next week, if they haven't come through yet. I don't anticipate any problems, just one step at a time! Please refer any friends you may have over to the facebook page- www.facebook.com/fluffygreenearth. I am working on all sorts of fun, fluffy, practical items for my storefront. If you see something you like, you'll be able to pay using Paypal! If you like an item, but have a specific print or fabric in mind, I plan on having custom slots available. Lastly, I want to let everyone know that 4 of my products will be prizes in the 6500 fan giveaway from Bouncing Woolies on facebook. You can reach the page through the Fluffy Green Earth business page-there's some awesome stuff up for grabs!

Second Week Waiting, Second Giveaway!
Hello,
All the business paperwork is now in-transit. It's amazing how many little things you need to get "just right." While we're waiting to be 'legal" to stock the store, the Paypal account is up and I'm working on figuring out how to creating invoices and the such. Another week has passed, so that means another giveaway! While I took last week's comments seriously, I'm currently doing some sewing for a giveaway from Bouncing Woolies, LLC. Check them out on facebook-when they reach 6,500 fans they're doing a major giveaway and Fluffy Green Earth products will be present in some of those prize groupings! I decided to go a different route this week-having just celebrated Mother's Day, I thought I'd offer a little something for moms or daughters!

This giveaway begins right now and ends on May 12th at 8pm EST. One lucky winner will receive three different flower hair bows (exact ones pictured above and to the left). The first is a 4.5 inch yellow Gerbera daisy attached to a green ribbon covered french clip. The center white flower is 2.5 inches and attached to a double prong rainbow ribbon covered pinch clip. The third is an orange flower with brown velvet flower accent and faux pearl, attached to a single prong green ribbon covered pinch clip. These types of hair accessories will eventually sell at Fluffy Green Earth in bundles of 3 for around $7.50. To be qualified for the giveaway, all you have to do is "like" the fluffy green Earth facebook page. To enter, make a comment below and then check back on May 8th! Winner has 48 hours to contact me before I choose another winner. One comment/entry per individual and only comments answering the giveaway question will be considered into the random.org pool.
Have you ever worn a flower (real or manufactured) in your hair for the day...if so, did it make you just a little happier?

Giveaway Days!
Hello Friends,
I thought that while I was waiting for the paperwork for the business to clear, I would offer a giveaway each week, something small as a "thank you" for following!
This week's giveaway item is a handmade cupcake pattern cloth doll diaper! This diaper will fit most 14-16" dolls. It has a terry cloth inner and fleece outer, along with a triple layer insert sewn into the lining. While it is not completely water proof, fleece does an excellent job at keeping the moisture in long enough for your little one to perform a diaper change! Large hook and loop tabs make changing easy for little hands, and the elasticized legs offer added "leak" protection. Diaper is machine washer and dryer safe!
The giveaway is quite simple. There will be only one entry allowed per person. To qualify for the giveaway item, you must "like" Fluffy Green Earth on facebook.
To enter, take a look at the Fluffy Green Earth photo albums and let me know what item you'd like to see given away next week. Post your choice as a comment below. Be sure to include your name, because "anonymous" won't work to identify a winner! It's really that simple! This Thursday evening, May 6th at 8pm EST, I will use Random.org to select the winning comment. The winner MUST check back on the blog to see if they've won, and e-mail me at fluffygreenearth@gmail.com with their name and address! 48 hours after the winner is posted, if they have not yet contacted me, another winner will be chosen through random.org with all original comments included! Thanks!

Why this, Why now?
Hello friends!
I thought it might be a good idea to share with you a little of my purpose and reasoning behind the creation of Fluffy Green Earth..so here goes!
I've always loved to sew and craft. From a very young age, I made scrunchies for my sisters, handmade dolls, and doll clothes. I was always blessed with the gift of being able to create whatever item I had pictured in my mind. Once I had children(ds is 2 and dd is 3), I learned very quickly that mass manufactured goods were rarely given the time and attention they needed to be able to stand up for the long haul-favorite blankets were often pulling apart at the seams after just month of use, swaddling blankets were too small, burp cloths not absorbent enough, etc. On top of this, I recall getting together with friends and family that had little ones, and constantly running into the issue of-"Who's is this?" because we had all purchased the standard print/pattern of blanket or toy in the large market chains. Once the kids were born, I began sewing and creating again. I made most of the needs for my babies for equal to or less than department stores and mine were original. I began giving items as gifts to friends and family and was elated with their responses and their enjoyment of a unique, high quality, one of a kind item for themselves or their little one.
All items that will be for sale from Fluffy Green Earth are handmade, by me, in my home. Each item is given the time and attention it needs to not only be useful, but to last long term and become a cherished keepsake for your family. You can be confident that, since I do not purchase large lots of materials, that your item is most likely the only one like it that exists. It is as unique as you or your child is. The gift you purchase for that baby shower or child's party will not only have function, but be original! I stand behind all of my work and unlike large manufacturers, have the ability to be available for questions and comments in a personable fashion. If you don't see something you like once the postings are up, feel free to e-mail me for a "custom" slot.
Lastly, I think it is important to mention that my foremost reason for doing this is to share my items with others. Some products may be more expensive than mass manufactured items, not because I am trying to make a profit, but because you investing in a quality, unique item that has been given personal attention. I use all of my own patterns (in some cases, no patterns at all) and have expensively checked patents and copyrights. I love to create and if being able to share that with others allows me the opportunity to continue to do so-that is very exciting! After all, my children have their share of these items and this house can barely hold anymore!
So, if you need an item that is soft and fluffy and in many cases created in an "earth-friendly" manner, check out Fluffy Green Earth on facebook! Stocking will begin in the coming weeks and for those of you that follow, a few "thank-you" giveaways will be up right here on the blog soon. I am grateful for all the support I have received thus far, and look forward to the many smiles I can bring through my products!

Welcome!
I began sewing on my great-grandmother's machine when I was very young. It was always important to me to create personal gifts for all of my friends and family. Now, as an adult, I am happy to offer an assortment of products to the general public. In between caring for my three year old daughter and two year old son, I enjoy exploring my creative side as I piece together items that are both modern, functional, and often beneficial for the environment. My first products were soft and cozy baby blankets, followed by infant and toddler hooded towels, and then reusable cloth wipes for babies and the household. Thus, Fluffy Green Earth came into existence! I am currently working on getting everything up and running. I began a facebook page and attempted to run a giveaway, but was thwarted by the regulations on facebook. I am thinking, I should be able to do it here... :) | |
